Thank you so much for joining Bake Boost. Over the past four weeks, we’ve had the privilege of speaking with and chatting directly with many of you. We sincerely appreciate your openness in sharing what you’re going through, especially in light of the unexpected shutdown of Bake Diary.

We want you to know that we hear you and are taking action.

Several features you’ve mentioned, such as a custom inquiry form and payment integration with Square, have been prioritized and are already underway. Several other improvements are also being implemented, and we’re committed to rolling out helpful updates as quickly as possible.

  • To support your transition, we’re extending the free trial period from 14 days to one month, until June 15. (You don’t need to take any action)
  • Till 15 June, Standard & Premium have the same features, so whichever category it shows you in your Subscription Profile, you have access to all the features.
  • Update, June 16: If anyone wants to have extensions to the Trial, please message us at support@bakeboost.com

This gives you more time to explore, test, and decide without pressure if Bake Boost fits your business.

We also understand that Bake Boost may not yet include all the features you were using.

New features/updates are being moved to the live application asap

1 – Enquiry Form and Enquiry to Order:

The initial version has been released and is now available under the e-commerce tab.

Still, a few improvements (convert to order) need to be made, which will be done by 24th June

2- Payment Integration via Invoice with Square and Email Notifications.

Update the invoice with Terms & Conditions, Images, etc

80% of the Development is done. This is delayed. We are working on it, and it requires more time. It is delayed due to other priority areas.

Expected to live by June 14th — Stripe Integration Delayed till June 20th

3 – Order Flow – Improved

A new order flow has been developed, with most of the requirements similar to your existing order flow. It is applied to the Live application on Sunday, 25 May.

Once you save the order, click the three dots and select ‘View Order’.

31-May: Improvements to Invoice Updates, such as adding due date and order date, adding an image, showing payment, etc., are in development. We will release it to live as soon as possible. The team is working on it nonstop, including weekends.

4 – Recipe Update/Improvement, add item from recipe, Cake Pricing Calculator, Overhead amount, Hours, etc

Development is completed, and it is applied to the Live application on Sunday, 25 May

31-May: Improvements to the recipe, option to use a portion of the recipe, and other report points are in development. We will release it to live as soon as possible.

5 – Old master data migration (Customers, ingredients, products, etc.)

You download your data from the existing application in the CSV format

Transactional data, such as all your existing orders, is challenging to import into any other application, as each new application will have a different data structure. This is a very well-known fact in the IT industry.

Please have your data in Excel or CSV format, properly cleaned.

Our Target solution is to provide you with the option to import master data from Excel/CSV templates, making it available to everyone and allowing them to organize their data for import into Bake Boost.

As of this update, our focus is on supporting Master Data, which includes your contacts/customers, Products, and Ingredients. No transactional data, such as your history from the last 2 years or 5 years of orders, can be loaded.
Importing recipes is also challenging and not possible within the short available time. We have tried to load it from the sample data. However, your existing application saves all the ingredient lists in a single field, which is very difficult to read and load.

We can talk about any additional data requirements with you on a case-by-case basis.

Import of Contacts/Customers is ready as of 29th May, and you can use it to upload your contacts

From the Order Form, you will have the below form and ‘Download Sample’, which will give you the CSV file to be filled with your data and then upload it to the same file. Don’t change the column name and the position of the columns

Ingredients and Recipe Upload feature development is in progress

6 – Expenses, Mileage Track

It will be taken after the above priority areas. Expected to start the development after the 25th of June

7 – Reports

Due to rapid changes, all the existing reports need fixes, and New reports need to be developed & improved.

We will focus on this at the end of June.

8 – Reminders/ or task lists

Are inquiries from potential clients only taken via WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is not mandatory. While WhatsApp is integrated for real-time inquiries, customers can also reach you via your website or e-commerce page on Bakeboost, where a new inquiry form is being developed.

Currently, Orders can be created from

  • Custom orders form, equal to your enquiry form (dedicated form of every cake shop)
  • From the e-commerce page (dedicated page of every cake shop)
  • POS
  • From WhatsApp directly in the application (Inquiry or create an Order from the whatsapp info)
How will I get a one-month free trial?

We are extending the Premium plan from 14 days to 1 month for FREE until June 15th. There is no automation in place, so you don’t need to take any action; we will manage it. You will all receive a 1-month free trial. Just sign up and start using it.

There are no restrictions on any feature in the Standard or Premium Plan till June 15th, so whatever plan it shows you in your Subscription Profile, you have all the features.
